I have been married to my wife Amy for 20 years and we have two boys, Sam age 16 and Max age 13. Both were bar mitzvahs at SOJC.
I am an IT Manager at Darden Restaurants. I am a past president of the JCC nextdoor, where my family met lifelong friends. My oldest son was a camper at Camp Ramah for 6 yrs. My youngest proudly represented Orlando at the Maccabee Games in Atlanta playing basketball.
I have been actively involved at SOJC volunteering with the Mens Club and being on the Executive Board. My goals for SOJC is to rejuvenate our congregation post-Covid with a new Rabbi who is excited to be a part of our community, keep our youth engaged and provide opportunities for us all to celebrate Judaism.”]

Born in Newport, RI, I became a Bar Mitzvah in historic Touro Synagogue. First appointed to SOJC’s board in 2003, I’ve chaired SOJC’s rabbi search, strategic planning and other initiatives. Having been a member of Southwest Citizens for A Temple when that group merged with the Williamsburg Jewish Congregation to form SOJC, and a member of SOJC for 20 years, she brings a unique knowledge and understanding of our roots and struggles in building the Jewish community in the Southwest Orlando area. During that time she has organized fundraisers, catered Family Friday Shabbat Dinners and served as chairperson of marketing and membership drives.”]

Along with her husband, Douglas Ethridge, and their 11-year-old daughter, Stella, she has been an active member of the SOJC community. Upon joining the Board in 2015, she had served as chair of the Education Committee for several years. Most recently, she has been the chair of the Membership Committee which has focused on staying connected with all our members during the pandemic. In addition, she has been the Recording Secretary for the Board for the past year. Professionally, Eileen works for Harvard Business Publishing as a leader in Corporate Learning. She has over 20 years of experience in human resource management and organizational development.”]

I have an MBA from Long Island University in with strengths in Finance and Economics and look forward to helping SOJC as a member of the finance and fundraising committees.
I have a strong history of Volunteerism in many of the Jewish Organizations in Central Florida. I currently serve on the Keenes Pointe Finance Committee and was the Parkway Condominiums Treasurer from 2004- 2010, the Jewish Welfare Board of Singapore as Assistant Treasurer from 2000=2003, and Havas Sholem Orthodox Cemetery, Niagara Falls, New York Committee Member from 2004 – present.”]

Jodi has served as Room Parent, member of the PTA and since joining the Board of Directors as co-chair of the Education Committee. I help set up and clean up the Friday night Onegs, help with fundraisers, and welcome our members on the High Holidays and work on the committee that distributes aliyot and honors for the high holiday services. Eamonn, is also currently serving as the Rabbi Search Committee Chairperson. He is looking forward to another year as a board member and seeing our SOJC family grow.”]

His knowledge of building, financial planning, and fundraising have been instrumental in SOJC’s success. His extreme generosity is seen throughout SOJC. He fully funded our restroom rehab several years ago, was part of the five families that purchased our new Torah, donated the beautiful front doors and funds to enlarge the foyer, and most recently, paid for half of the entire building’s roof replacement.

Dr Hardoon inspires us through his generosity and love of community and Judaism. He is the CEO and Medical Director of Chateau Madeline, a senior living and memory care in Melbourne, Fl. He looks forward to continuing to serve the SOJC community.”]

This is his seventh year of teaching Religious School for the Second Grade Class. His wife, Risa, teaches the First Grade Class and is the SOJUSY Youth Director. Jeff and Risa have two sons, Grant and Chad, who are very active within SOJC’s Religious School, Youth Programs, and Services.”]

Melissa has served as a member of the PTA and Homeroom Mom over the past few years. This will be Melissa’s first year serving on the Board. She is co-chair on the Education Committee and the Fundraising Committee.”]
